you are cordially invited to the 13th Munich Cancer Retreat on May 19-20, 2026 in Tutzing!
Key Note Lectures will be given by:

with an introduction by Ferenc Krausz Director of Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics, Garching
- Núria Malats Head of Genetic and Molecular Epidemology Group, Spanish National Cancer Research Centre CNIO; Madrid, Spain
- William Hill Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute, The University of Manchester; Manchester, UK
The 13th Munich Cancer Retreat will focus on the two DKTK pillars Pillar 1 Therapeutic Innovations and Pillar 2 Diagnostic Innovations & Molecular Prevention and the Working Groups. Talks are chosen by DKTK program committee.
Early Career Scientists will get the opportunity to present their translational research and their *Best Talk* and the *Best Poster* will be a awarded with a travel grant to a European conference, voted for by participants of the MCR13.
Established and new Cancer Core Structures in Munich will be presented as well as new and ongoing Joint Funding projects at Munich partner site.
For Fellows of the School of Oncology, DKTK PhD students and further early career scientists a Workshop on Prompt Engineering for AI Tools and Third-Party Funding will be offered on May 19, 2026. Further information will follow soon.

Due to changes in the hospitality guidelines, DKTK partner site Munich cannot cover the overnight stays at the venue, if you are not employed at DKFZ. Therefore, please provide a billing address at the registration, if you plan to stay overnight. Costs for event location incl. catering will be covered by DKTK partner site Munich.
